Parenting coaching for AD(H)D

If you are a parent of one or more children with AD(H)D in your family, you are familiar with the big and small challenges of everyday life and know how important it is to stay calm. Take advantage of the flexible parent coaching programme. This quote from P. O'Mara sums up why coaching is useful for parents of children with AD(H)D: ‘The way we talk to our children becomes their inner voice.’ Perhaps you often feel that the dynamics of everyday life are overwhelming you. Perhaps you don't always know how to respond to your child's behaviour. Perhaps you sometimes regret your response. It makes sense to seek support before you become overwhelmed and lose trust. Parenting coaching helps you to organise your thoughts, learn tips, and develop solutions that work in your specific situation. My coaching approach is inspired by personal experience with the topic and the following conviction: Parents are allowed to love their child just as they are and are not accountable to their social environment for this. Because remember: 1. AD(H)D is neither an illness nor a superpower, but a different way of processing and dealing with information. 2. Children with AD(H)D do not deserve punishment and rejection, but people who understand them, believe in them, and support them. 3. The balance between structure and flexibility makes it possible to combine security with freedom to develop. 4. Often, it is not the child who needs to change, but the perspective of the adults.
